HyCoSy Scans require a special attention and technique and are performed by a fertility specialist Consultant Gynaecologist assisted by a nurse. This scan is designed to test the function of the fallopian tubes by injecting a special dye and monitoring its flow.
The optimal time for a HyCoSy scan is 5-14 days after the first day of your last menstrual cycle (LMP), once the heavy bleeding is over.
