This appointment includes a consultation with a specialist gynaecologist and is tailored for pregnancies that are earlier than 6 weeks. During your visit, you will receive a detailed ultrasound report, along with images and video clips that can be shared with your referring doctor.
This scan is available before the standard viability scan but is generally not recommended unless there are specific concerns. This is because we are unable to confirm the viability of a pregnancy before six weeks’ gestation.
However, if you are experiencing symptoms such as vaginal bleeding, lower abdominal pain, or have a history of miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy, an early scan may be advised to help assess the situation.
While this scan cannot always confirm viability, it can offer early insight and reassurance in complex or concerning situations.
Please note: This service is currently only available at our main HQ, LPC | City, in Spitalfields.
Additional Consultation Costs
Please note, this scan requires a referral from a consultant or fertility clinic – the results will be sent to your clinic and our sonographer won’t be able to discuss the result with you. If you require interpretation, we are able to offer a consultation with our Consultant Gynaecologist who specialises in fertility and reproductive medicine at an additional cost.
