Terms and Conditions

Accessing our site
These terms and conditions are between you and Ultrasound Link Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12147431, trading as London Pregnancy Clinic, whose registered office is at 1st Floor, 36 Spital Square, London E1 6DY. A binding contract for a booking is formed when we send you our booking confirmation email. All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and, where applicable, include VAT; prices may change, but changes will not affect bookings already confirmed.

The nature and limitations of our services
Our ultrasound scans and non-invasive prenatal tests (NIPT) are screening services. They assess the chance that a condition may be present; they are not diagnostic tests. No screening scan or test can detect every condition, and a low-chance result is not a guarantee that your baby is unaffected, just as a high-chance result does not mean a condition is certainly present.
Where a scan or test raises a concern, we will explain what it means and discuss the options for diagnostic testing (such as amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling) and onward referral, so you can make an informed decision about the next steps.
We will always provide our services with reasonable care and skill. If you are unsure which service is right for you, please contact us before booking and we will be happy to advise.
Consent, dignity and chaperones
All examinations, scans and tests are carried out only with your informed consent. Your clinician will explain what an examination involves before it begins, and you may ask questions, pause or stop at any point.
Some scans — for example in early pregnancy or certain gynaecology assessments — may need to be performed transvaginally to obtain adequate images. If this applies to you, it will be explained beforehand and performed only with your explicit consent.
A chaperone is available on request for any examination, and you are welcome to bring a companion with you. If you have any concerns about an examination, before or after your visit, please speak to any member of our team.

Privacy requirements
Our Company is aware that patient privacy is a priority for all healthcare professionals.
Treatment and other patient management decisions should not solely be based on information provided on our website. We thus recommend that treating physicians always refer to available guidelines whenever possible.
Use of data and information obtained from or through our web site is at your sole risk. No liability is accepted by London Pregnancy Clinic for loss or corruption of data.
Payment
You may pay for the services which you order online by supplying your credit/debit card details on the secure online order form. Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe holds your card details in its own secure systems — the London Pregnancy Clinic never sees or holds your full card number.
If you book by paying a deposit, Stripe keeps your card on file and gives us only a secure reference, called a token, which lets us ask Stripe to take the further payments you agreed to when you booked. The token does not reveal your card number and cannot be used to pay anyone else. “Do you save my card when I pay a deposit?”
below explains what those payments can be and how to have your saved card removed.
Our site uses SSL/TLS encryption for all online transactions. You can confirm a page is secure by checking that the address begins with ‘https://www.londonpregnancy.com’ and that a padlock icon is shown in your browser’s address bar.
Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of data if you communicate with us via email. Accordingly, please do not send us payment information using email. For details of the security measures we employ please read our Privacy Statement. Unless we are fraudulent or negligent we will not be liable to you for any losses caused as a result of unauthorised access to the personal and transactional information you provide us with when placing an order.
Alterations to this Website and Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right at any time to make changes to this Website, these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and such other policies as we may notify you of. You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time you use the Website. Changes, which we are required to make by law, could apply to orders that you have already made. If any of the terms and conditions forming the contract between us are deemed invalid, void or unenforceable for any reason, it will be deemed severable and not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining terms and conditions.
Data protection
Ultrasound Link Ltd (trading as London Pregnancy Clinic) is the data controller for the personal data we process about you. We process your health information in order to provide your care (UK GDPR Articles 6(1)(b) and 9(2)(h)), and we retain medical records in line with the Records Management Code of Practice for Health and Social Care — maternity records are retained for 25 years.
Full details of what we collect, who we share it with (including our laboratories and service providers), how long we keep it and your rights — including the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) — are set out in our Privacy Notice.
Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Subject to the first paragraph of this section, our total liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the price paid for that booking, except where the law provides otherwise.
Statements elsewhere in these terms that information is provided “at your sole risk” apply only to general information published on our website; they do not limit our responsibilities in relation to the clinical services we provide to you.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, as do we.
Your right to cancel online bookings
When you book online, you have a statutory right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel your booking within 14 days of making it, without giving a reason, and to receive a refund within 14 days of cancelling. To exercise this right, contact us by email at info@londonpregnancy.com with your name, booking details and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
If you book an appointment that takes place within 14 days of booking, you are expressly requesting that we provide the service within the cancellation period, and you acknowledge that once the service has been fully performed (your appointment has taken place) the right to cancel is lost. If you cancel after requesting an early start but before the appointment, we may deduct an amount proportionate to any services already provided.
Our own cancellation and rescheduling policy below is more generous in most everyday situations — free cancellation up to 24 hours before your appointment — and applies alongside, and never instead of, your statutory rights. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Terms of booking
To provide the best possible service to all our patients, we ask you to contact us if you are running late so we can make all necessary arrangements to ensure you are seen by our specialist. As our clinic might be very busy, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment or wait for an available slot so that all our patients receive the best possible service.
Late and cancellations policy — at a glance:
- Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the appointment start time, in writing to info@londonpregnancy.com, are free of charge – you can reschedule or receive a full refund of your pre-payment.
- Late cancellations, made later than 24 hours but at least 3 hours before your appointment start time, incur a £50 fee to cover staffing and clinician costs, or the amount you paid to book if that is less; the remaining balance of your pre-payment is refunded.
- No show policy: if you fail to attend your appointment, cancel with less than 3 hours’ notice, or arrive more than 20 minutes late, you will be deemed to have missed your appointment. No-shows are charged at £140, or £50 for midwife and genetics appointments, and never more than the amount you paid to book — for example, if you paid a £260 deposit for a NIPT appointment and did not attend, you would be charged £140 and £120 would be refunded.
- For bookings made less than 24 hours before the appointment start time, the pre-payment is taken at the time of booking and the cancellation tiers above apply.
- If an appointment is missed or cancelled as a result of scheduling errors on our part, or the specialist fails to attend, we will refund your pre-payment in full.
- A £30 surcharge applies to certain appointments from 6:00pm onwards and on weekends and UK bank holidays — see the full policies below.

How it works
When you visit our Website, you can choose to either call us to discuss an appointment or to book an appointment online after you have made your selection.
You might decide to call us if you need help to choose an appropriate scan, if you are unsure. If you don’t understand something, please contact us and we’ll give you any information you need.
At London Pregnancy Clinic, we offer services across two locations: LPC | London City in Spitalfields and LPC | West in Westminster. When booking an appointment, you will first be asked to select your preferred clinic location.
Whatever kind of screening you’re looking for, you’ll always be asked to make a prepayment on our Website to confirm your appointment.
To book a scan/consultation you will have to:
• Select your preferred location and scan type, then enter your requested date to confirm your pregnancy age
• Select a date and time of your appointment and book the scan
• Register your contact details with us (your name, last name, address, phone number and email address), so that we are able to contact you with regards to your appointment or a scan;
• Agree to our Terms and Conditions and make a pre-payment for your scan. These will guarantee confirmation of your appointment
• Submit your order
We will send you an automatically generated email to confirm that you have booked your scan for that specific date and time.
Now that you’ve booked your scan, we will contact you a day before your appointment by email to confirm your appointment.
Please check all of your email folders for our confirmation email – with some email providers such as GMAIL the email could appear in the ‘Updates’ or ‘Promotions’ tab.
- Select your preferred scan and enter the requested date to confirm your pregnancy age
- Select a date and time of your appointment and book the scan
- Register your contact details with us (your name, last name, address, phone number and email address), so that we are able to contact you with regards to your appointment or a scan;
- Agree to our Terms and Conditions and make a pre-payment for your scan. These will guarantee confirmation of your appointment
- Submit your order
Payment
In order to complete the payment, you will have to provide valid credit or debit card details. You must be authorised to use these details and to authorise our payment service provider Stripe to take payment in full for the scan you have chosen. All major cards are accepted.
Our payment processing platform, Stripe, may also perform a pre-authorisation on the card you have signed up with to ensure your payment details are correct. Stripe holds your card details in its own secure systems, not the London Pregnancy Clinic — we hold only a secure token for your card, together with the payment amount and your appointment reference, and no one in our team can see your card number. You can find more information about Stripe here:
https://stripe.com/
Evening, Weekend & Bank Holiday Surcharge
A £30 surcharge applies to certain appointments booked for 6:00pm onwards, as well as weekends and UK bank holidays.
The surcharge applies to all appointments except those listed below — including pregnancy, fertility and gynaecology scans, obstetric and gynaecology consultations, clinician-specific scans, blood tests and GP appointments.
No surcharge applies to:
Midwife consultations (30 or 60 minutes, in person or online)
Online genetic counselling (30 or 60 minutes)
This £30 surcharge is payable at the clinic on the day of your appointment.
Do you save my card when I pay a deposit?
Yes — for deposit bookings only. With these appointments you pay part of the price when you book and the rest at your appointment, so Stripe keeps your card on file after your deposit payment and you do not have to enter your details again. For every other booking, no card is saved.
The deposit bookings are:
• NIPT + Scan — £260 deposit, against a total of £490 to £590 depending on the test you choose
• SMART NIPT + Scan — £300 deposit
• Gynaecology appointments — £300 deposit, taken off the appointment price
• Gynaecological appointment with hysteroscopy — £300 deposit
• Carrier screening — £80 deposit, against £660 for one person or £1,200 for a couple
Stripe holds your card details in its own secure systems. We never see or hold your full card number, and we could not read it back to you if you asked. All we hold is a secure reference, called a token, together with the payment amount and your appointment reference. The token only works to ask Stripe to charge that card for your booking with us — it cannot be used anywhere else, and your card number cannot be worked out from it.
We can charge your saved card for three things and nothing else: the balance of your appointment price; the £30 surcharge for evening, weekend and bank holiday appointments, if it applies; and a cancellation or no-show fee, if one applies. There is no subscription and no automatic rebooking, and we will not use your card for anything else.
A cancellation or no-show fee is never more than the amount you paid to book. Because of that cap, a fee is normally taken from the deposit you have already paid and your saved card is not needed. If a fee cannot be taken from your deposit — for example because it has already been refunded to you — we may take it from your saved card instead, and it will still never be more than the amount you paid to book.
By paying a deposit you agree to your card being saved for these payments, and your bank may also ask you to approve this. If you would rather your card was not saved, please contact us before you book and we will arrange another way to pay. You can ask us to remove your saved card at any time by emailing info@londonpregnancy.com, and Stripe will delete it. Removing your card does not change any amount you have already agreed to pay — we will simply ask you for another way to pay it.
Late and cancellations policy
At London Pregnancy Clinic, we strive to provide the best possible care for all our patients. To help us ensure efficient service, we kindly ask for your cooperation in the event of lateness or cancellations.
Running Late
• If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate you and make necessary arrangements.
• In cases where the clinic is busy, you may need to reschedule your appointment or wait for the next available slot to ensure all patients receive optimal care.
Cancellations
• Free Cancellations:
• Cancellations made 24 hours or more before your appointment start time must be submitted in writing to info@londonpregnancy.com.
• You can reschedule free of charge or receive a full refund (initiated within 3 working days; allow 5–10 working days to appear on your statement).
• Late Cancellations:
• Cancellations made later than 24 hours but at least 3 hours before your appointment start time will incur a £50 fee to cover staffing and clinician costs, or the amount you paid to book if that is less.
• The remaining balance of your prepayment will be refunded, if applicable.
No-Show Policy
If any of the following occur, you will be considered a no-show:
• You fail to attend your appointment.
• You cancel with less than 3 hours’ notice.
• You arrive more than 20 minutes late for your scan.
For no-shows, we reserve the right to charge a fee of £140, or the amount you paid to book if that is less. For midwife and genetics appointments the no-show fee is £50, or the amount you paid to book if that is less.
By “the amount you paid to book” we mean the pre-payment or deposit you made when booking. A cancellation or no-show fee is never more than that amount. For example:
• If you paid a £260 deposit for a NIPT appointment and did not attend, you would be charged £140 and £120 would be refunded.
• If you paid £75 for a CMV blood test and did not attend, you would be charged £75 rather than £140, and there would be nothing left to refund.
Special Notes
• If you cancel your appointment 24 hours or more before the scheduled start time, you can reschedule or receive a refund for the full prepayment.
• For bookings made less than 24 hours before the appointment, the pre-payment is taken at the time of booking and the cancellation tiers above apply.
• If an appointment is missed or cancelled due to clinic scheduling errors or a specialist’s failure to attend, we will issue a full refund of your prepayment.
Refunds
We will make every effort to initiate refunds within three (3) working days of a refund being agreed. Depending on your bank or card provider, the funds may take 5–10 working days to appear on your statement. All refunds are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe, and can only be made to the original payment method.
NIPT charges/refunds
NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing) involves an ultrasound scan and a simple blood test, with samples processed by leading labs such as Eurofins, Natera, Fulgent, and BillionToOne.
Turnaround Time
• Results are typically available within 2-10 working days for 95% of cases, starting from the time the sample is registered (received by the lab).
• While samples are delivered to the lab on the same day they are collected:
• Afternoon samples will be registered for processing on the next working day.
• Weekend samples will be registered for processing on the following Monday (or the next working day in case of a Bank Holiday).
Timing of the Test
• Most NIPTs can only be performed from a gestational age (GA) of 10 weeks. Labs will not accept blood samples from patients earlier than 10 weeks GA.
• GA is measured using the Crown-Rump Length (CRL) during your ultrasound. As this measurement may differ from the due date calculated based on your last menstrual period, we recommend waiting until at least 10 weeks + 2 days to book your NIPT appointment to avoid additional charges.
• If your ultrasound scan indicates a GA below 10 weeks, your appointment will need to be rescheduled, and you will be charged £140 for a viability scan.
No-Call Results
• In about 2% of cases, the test may result in a No-Call, meaning the lab is unable to process the results.
• For the first No-Call, we will arrange another blood sample collection free of charge.
• If the second test also results in a No-Call, we will refund the NIPT portion of your appointment charge as outlined in our refund policy.
Laboratory Fees
• Once your blood sample has been collected and dispatched to the laboratory, the laboratory fee portion of your booking is non-refundable. Any scan or consultation portion is handled under our general refund policy above.
• Some of our partner laboratories are located outside the UK (including in the USA and EU). Where your sample and associated personal data are transferred internationally, this is done under appropriate safeguards, as set out in our Privacy Notice.
Gender reveal/3D & 4D scans
At London Pregnancy Clinic, we take pride in our medical approach to fetal scanning. As expert fetal medicine professionals, our primary focus is always on assessing your baby’s health and development. For this reason, we have made a conscious decision to not offer non-medical scans as stand-alone services.
Gender Reveal
We understand that many expectant parents are eager to find out their baby’s sex early in the pregnancy. As part of our commitment to personalized care, we are happy to provide gender determination as a complimentary add-on:
• From 14 weeks with a routine scan.
• From 10 weeks with an NIPT.
Important Notes:
• Gender determination is not always 100% accurate. In some cases, the NIPT or scan may fail to detect the baby’s sex.
• Refunds are not offered in cases where the gender cannot be determined, as our services prioritize the diagnostic value of the scans and tests we perform.
3D/4D Scans
We also provide 3D/4D imaging as part of a bonding experience, subject to availability during your appointment. This will only be offered:
• If time allows at the end of your scan.
• After the clinician has completed the medical screening portion of the appointment and is satisfied with the results.
Our approach ensures that your baby’s health remains the primary focus, while still offering parents the opportunity to enjoy these additional services when possible.
Complaints Procedure
Introduction
Ultrasound Link Ltd (T/A London Pregnancy Clinic) is committed to provide the highest standard of service and care to our patients. We therefore appreciate all feedback regarding the care and service that you, your family or others experienced during your visit and this leaflet explains how we deal with concerns or complaints you may wish to raise.
This section explains how we handle concerns or complaints. A printed summary is also available at reception on request.
Policy
The Service will take reasonable steps to ensure that clients are aware of:
• the complaints procedure.
• The time limit for resolution.
• How it will be dealt with.
• Who will deal with it?
• Right of appeal
• Further action they can take if not satisfied.
• The fact that any issues will not affect any ongoing treatment from the service and they will continue to be treated.
You may also raise a concern at any time with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England, at www.cqc.org.uk or on 03000 616161. The CQC does not investigate individual complaints, but your feedback informs its regulation of our service.

Making a complaint
Stage 1: Receiving of complaints
The Service may receive a complaint made by, or (with his/her consent) on behalf of a client, or former client, who is receiving or has received treatment at the Service, or where the client is incapable of making a complaint, by a relative or other adult who has an interest in his/her welfare.
Please send your written complaint to:
Dr Fred Ushakov, Ultrasound Link Ltd, 1st Floor, 36 Spital Square, E1 6DY, London
Period within which complaints can be made — the period for making a complaint is normally:
• 6 months from the date on which the event which is the subject of the complaint occurred; or
• 6 months from the date on which the event which is the subject of the complaint comes to the complainant’s notice.
- 6 months from the date on which the event which is the subject of the complaint occurred; or
- 6 months from the date on which the event which is the subject of the complaint comes to the complainant’s notice.
Action upon receipt of a complaint
All complaints will be acknowledged no later than three working days after the day the complaint is received (the acknowledgement will usually be in writing but can be verbally in some circumstances although this should be the exception rather than the norm.) We will make sure that we will get back to you with a final decision or an update on the progress of our investigation within 20 working days from the receipt of the complaint.
An offer should be made to discuss with the complainant the following:
• The handling of the complaint
• Timescales for responding
• Expectations and desired outcome if unclear
- The handling of the complaint
- Timescales for responding
- Expectations and desired outcome if unclear
- It is always better to try and deal with the complaint at the earliest opportunity and often it can be concluded at that point.
- If it is not possible or the outcome is not satisfactory the client should be asked to put it in writing. This ensures that each side are well aware of the issues for resolution. If the client does refuse to put it in writing then it is advisable for the service to put it in writing and check that the client is happy with the detail of the complaint.
- On receipt of a written complaint an acknowledgement should be sent confirming receipt and saying that a further response will be sent within 20 working days following an investigation of the issues. It should also say who is dealing with it i.e. manager.
- If it is not possible to conclude any investigations within the 20 working days, then the client should be updated with progress and possible time scales.
- A full investigation should take place with written notes and a log of the progress being made.
- It may be that outside sources will need to be contacted and if that is the case then a client consent form will need to be signed to make such a request.
- In the response letter, we will inform you of all the details of the investigation and the outcome of our inquiry. If you remind unhappy with the outcome, we will also provide details on how to proceed into the second stage of our complaint procedure.
Time limit for making a complaint
If the complaint has been made verbally, the complainant should be given a copy of their verbal statement which is considered the formal complaint and asked to confirm that it represents the issues they wish to raise.
The Complaints Manager or lead HCP has the discretion to extend the time limits if the complainant has good reason for not making the complaint sooner, or where it is still possible to properly investigate the complaint despite extended delay.
When considering an extension to the time limit it is important that the Complaints Manager or the HCP takes into consideration that the passage of time may prevent an accurate recollection of events by the clinician concerned or by the person bringing the complaint. The collection of evidence, Clinical Guidelines or other resources relating to the time when the complaint event arose may also be difficult to establish or obtain. These factors may be considered as suitable reason for declining a time limit extension.
Stage 2
If you remain dissatisfied following the final response from the clinic, then you can request a review of your complaint, known as Stage 2 by writing to: Dr Fred Ushakov, Ultrasound Link Ltd, 1st Floor, 36 Spital Square, E1 6DY, London
During this stage, your complaint will be reviewed by a member of our management team who was not involved in Stage 1. Similarly to Stage 1, we will get back to you no later than 3 working days with an acknowledgement of the escalation of the complaint.
Complainants will be invited to attend a meeting at the start of Stage 2 in order to clarify the matters that remain outstanding in the complaint and obtain a greater understanding of what the complainant hopes to achieve by escalating the complaint. This meeting may be face-to-face or via telephone or videoconferencing/online if the complainant prefers.
We will consider your complaint and will undertake a review of the documentation, any correspondence and the handling of the complaint at Stage 1. Our Clinic Manager will write to you according to our procedures and in any event within 20 days to either confirm the outcome at stage 1 or to offer an alternative resolution.
At this time we will advise you of your right to take the matter further to Independent Adjudication known as ISCAS and stage 3 in these procedures.
Throughout the process all information, documents and records relevant to your complaint will be treated in the strictest confidence and no information will be divulged to any parties who are not involved in the process, unless required to do so by law.
Stage 3: Independent Adjudication (ISCAS)
This stage is only available to complainants who remain dissatisfied once Stage 1 and Stage 2 are exhausted. A complainant should then request the Adjudication by writing to the Secretariat:
ISCAS, CEDR, 3rd Floor, 100 St. Paul’s Churchyard, London EC4M 8BU. Tel: 020 7536 6091. Email: info@iscas.org.uk
this written request for adjudication must be made within 6 months of the final determination at Stage 2. The complainant at Stage 3 should provide reasons to explain the dissatisfaction with the outcome of Stage 2. The ISCAS Secretariat will seek confirmation that Stage 2 has been completed.
The ISCAS Secretariat will notify us of a request for Stage 3 made directly within ten days. The Secretariat will then be the main contact for the complainant once Adjudication is started. A complainant accessing this service will be asked to consent to release of records from the practice relevant to the complaint and a report will be made to the complainant, the practice.
Additional information for patients about ISCAS can be found at: https://www.iscas.org.uk/patients-complaints-process
