About this appointment

The SMART Test combines an expert first-trimester ultrasound with an advanced non-invasive prenatal blood test (NIPT) in a single appointment. It screens for Down's syndrome alongside a wide range of other chromosomal, genetic and structural conditions, and includes a deposit towards your scan. A two-step option for parents seeking early, comprehensive reassurance. Recommended at 10 weeks; not routinely offered beyond 16 weeks.
