Book Progesterone in Pregnancy Consultation

£400 (+£30 ON WEEKENDS/BANK HOLIDAYS/EVENINGS)

Service is provided by our Spital Clinic consultant gynaecologist. You will receive a comprehensive consultation and a detailed medical report via Spital Clinic.

This appointment includes a scan and consultation with a specialist gynaecologist and is designed for women in early pregnancy, particularly those with a history of miscarriage, vaginal bleeding, or other symptoms of concern. It is most relevant before 8 weeks’ gestation, when progesterone support may be considered.

During your visit, you will receive a full ultrasound report, images, and video clips that can be shared with your referring doctor.

Please note:
Progesterone treatment is not routinely offered. It may be considered in specific cases such as:

  • Recurrent miscarriage (three or more losses)

  • Threatened miscarriage with early bleeding

  • Diagnosed low progesterone levels

This service is for women seeking expert, evidence-based guidance on progesterone use in early pregnancy. The gynaecologist will assess whether treatment is appropriate based on your symptoms, scan findings, and medical history.

While research on progesterone’s effectiveness is still evolving, NICE guidelines recommend considering supplementation in selected cases.

Important: Progesterone can only be prescribed by a consultant gynaecologist. It is not available via midwives, GPs, or sonographers.

Please note: This service is currently only available at our main HQ, LPC | City, in Spitalfields.

Additional Consultation Costs

Please note, this scan requires a referral from a consultant or fertility clinic – the results will be sent to your clinic and our sonographer won’t be able to discuss the result with you. If you require interpretation, we are able to offer a consultation with our Consultant Gynaecologist who specialises in fertility and reproductive medicine at an additional cost.
