If you’re considering newborn genetic screening, a 45-minute online appointment is the quickest way to get clear, expert guidance before you test, or help understanding results afterwards. Meet from home, avoid unnecessary appointments, and leave with a practical plan.
We encourage you to attend with your partner (or another parent/guardian). Newborn results can have implications for the wider family, and it’s helpful to hear the information together.
Pre-test counselling: before newborn genetic screening

If you already have results, we’ll explain them in plain English and support you with next steps, including:
- what a positive or negative result means in real life
- whether follow-up or confirmatory testing is needed
- when specialist referral is appropriate
- how results may affect parents, siblings, or future pregnancies
When to book a clinical geneticist instead
If your baby has symptoms, unusual growth patterns, or features that need a medical assessment, you may be better suited to a clinical geneticist consultation (which can include a physical examination and a management plan).
Newborn genetic testing at London Pregnancy Clinic is offered with clinical oversight, including consultation with a clinical geneticist when appropriate.
Genetic Counselling with Jeen Health
Jeen Health is our partner for online genetic counselling and at-home genetic testing. Their expert team supports you in understanding genetic risks during pregnancy and family planning.
