About this appointment
A follicle tracking scan is a painless ultrasound that monitors the number, size and maturity of follicles in your ovaries through your cycle. It helps your clinician time conception or fertility treatment such as IVF. Carried out by a specialist sonographer experienced in fertility scans. Usually from around day 10-12 of your cycle, often repeated until ovulation; your clinic will guide timing.
