Private Midwifery Care Package

Continuity, time, and personalised support — one consistent, known midwife through pregnancy, birth and beyond, designed to complement your NHS antenatal and postnatal care, not replace it.

Available atLPC City (E1)

Designed to sit alongside your NHS care

NHS antenatal and postnatal care provides essential clinical screening, scans, and safety-netting. What it often cannot offer, due to time and staffing pressures, is continuity of carer, unhurried appointments, and a familiar, known midwife throughout your journey.

Our Private Midwifery Care Package is built to sit alongside your NHS care — filling those gaps with relationship, time, and flexibility, while you continue to attend every NHS appointment as scheduled.

Care is led by our private midwifery team, with birth planning and calm birthing expertise woven through every tier.

Important

This package is designed to complement NHS maternity care. It does not replace routine antenatal or postnatal appointments, screening, or emergency care — please continue to attend all NHS-scheduled appointments alongside this service.

Your questions answered

Does this package replace my NHS maternity care?

No. The package is designed to complement NHS maternity care, not replace it. You continue to attend every NHS-scheduled appointment, scan and screening as normal — your private midwife adds continuity, time and personalised support around that care.

What is the difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2?

Tier 1 (Foundations, £490) is antenatal only: a booking consultation, three 60-minute clinic or virtual online visits, a personalised birth preferences document and a calm birth preparation session. Tier 2 (Full Journey, £640) includes everything in Tier 1 and adds on-call support from 37 weeks, three postnatal in-clinic appointments in the first two weeks, a postnatal debrief session, and weight checks with feeding support.

Where do the antenatal visits take place?

Tier 1 and Tier 2 include three 60-minute antenatal visits at key trimester points, held at our clinic or as virtual online appointments — whichever suits you. Your initial booking consultation works the same way, and postnatal appointments in Tier 2 take place in clinic.

Can I book individual sessions without a full package?

Yes. À la carte options include single top-up visits for specific concerns (such as tongue-tie, a feeding crisis or an anxiety spike), structured postnatal mental health check-ins, birth reflection sessions for past births, and 1:1 or couples antenatal education intensives.
