• Plan your date around your cycle. A hysteroscopy is usually scheduled in the first half of the cycle, typically between days 5 and 12, when the lining is thinnest. If you are unsure which date to choose, call us before booking.
• This is an outpatient procedure without sedation. If you need sedation or general anaesthesia, we arrange the procedure at one of our partner hospitals instead, from £3,500. Please call us rather than booking here.

This booking reserves an outpatient hysteroscopy with one of our Consultant Gynaecologists at LPC | City in Spitalfields, offered in partnership with Spital Clinic. A hysteroscope is a slim telescope with a camera. It is passed through the vagina and cervix so your gynaecologist can see the lining of the womb directly. Hysteroscopy is used to investigate abnormal bleeding, difficulty conceiving and recurrent miscarriage. If needed, minor procedures such as removing polyps or adhesions, or taking a tissue sample, can be done at the same time. It is performed while you are awake, without general anaesthesia. Most people go home the same day. Mild cramping, spotting or light bleeding for a few days is common. We recommend taking it easy for 24 to 48 hours, and avoiding strenuous activity or sex until any discomfort or bleeding has settled. The procedure usually takes 15 to 45 minutes. The timing within your cycle may differ if your gynaecologist advises it.

A £30 surcharge applies to appointments in the evening, at weekends or on bank holidays. You’ll see the exact price before you pay.

• The £300 deposit is part of the price, not an extra charge. The all-inclusive cost of an outpatient hysteroscopy is £1,850, and you pay the balance at your appointment.
• Once the procedure has started, the full cost is charged even if you choose to stop or not complete it, because clinical time, equipment and resources are committed as soon as it begins. If you have concerns, our clinical team is happy to talk them through before your appointment.
• Stripe keeps your card on file after the deposit. It can be charged only for the balance, the evening or weekend surcharge if it applies, or a cancellation or no-show fee.
• Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 24 hours before, in writing to info@londonpregnancy.com. Cancelling later than 24 hours but at least 3 hours before costs £50. A no-show is charged £140.
