Before you book — what this appointment needs
  • No scan is included. If you want a scan as part of the appointment, book the Obstetric Consultation + Scan (£500) at one of our clinics instead.
  • The appointment takes place online, and you will be sent a link to join. Find somewhere private, and check your camera and microphone beforehand.
  • An online consultation is not for emergencies. If you are bleeding heavily, have severe pain, or feel faint or very unwell, call 999 or go to your nearest A&E or Early Pregnancy Unit.
About this appointment

An online consultation with one of our consultant obstetricians, for questions about maternal medicine or fetal medicine. Your obstetrician reviews your medical and pregnancy history, talks through any symptoms or concerns, and gives advice tailored to your stage of pregnancy. You might book it for a question about your own health in pregnancy, a second opinion on a fetal medicine question, or an initial conversation before choosing our private obstetric care package. No ultrasound scan is included. It is a chance to speak to a specialist from home, wherever you are. Available at any stage of pregnancy. If you go on to join our private obstetric care package, follow-up consultations are also available by Zoom or telephone.

A £30 surcharge applies to appointments in the evening, at weekends or on bank holidays. You’ll see the exact price before you pay.

Booking terms for this appointment
  • The £300 fee covers the consultation only. Any extra screening your obstetrician recommends, such as blood tests or NIPT, is charged separately.
  • Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 24 hours before your appointment, in writing to info@londonpregnancy.com.
  • Cancelling later than 24 hours but at least 3 hours before costs £50; the rest of your payment is refunded.
  • Not attending, cancelling with under 3 hours’ notice, or joining more than 20 minutes late counts as a no-show and is charged £140.
  • This is a full payment at booking, not a deposit, and your card is not stored.
