Book your Progesterone in Pregnancy Consultation (under 6 weeks)

• Progesterone is not offered routinely, and the evidence for it is mixed. Whether it is appropriate depends on your history, symptoms and scan. This appointment is an assessment, not a guaranteed prescription.
• Book as early as you can. If progesterone is recommended, it is usually started as soon as possible after a positive pregnancy test or at the first sign of bleeding.
• Very early in pregnancy it can be too soon to see a heartbeat on a scan. Your gynaecologist will explain what the scan can show at your stage.
• If you are bleeding heavily, have severe one-sided pain, or feel faint or unwell, this may be an emergency. Call 999 or go to your nearest A&E or Early Pregnancy Unit rather than waiting for this appointment.

An early pregnancy scan and consultation with a consultant gynaecologist, for women who want an expert view on whether progesterone support is right for them. It is designed for the first weeks of pregnancy, particularly if you have had a miscarriage before or have vaginal bleeding now. Your gynaecologist reviews your symptoms, scan findings and medical history. They explain what the current evidence does and does not show, and recommend progesterone only if they consider it clinically indicated for you. At our clinic, progesterone is prescribed only by a consultant gynaecologist, not by midwives, GPs or sonographers. For the earliest weeks of pregnancy (under 6 weeks). If you start progesterone, your gynaecologist will advise how long to continue it. Available at LPC | City in Spitalfields only.

A £30 surcharge applies to appointments in the evening, at weekends or on bank holidays. You’ll see the exact price before you pay.

• The £400 fee covers the scan and the consultation. Because progesterone is prescribed only when it is clinically indicated, booking does not guarantee a prescription.
• Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 24 hours before your appointment, in writing to info@londonpregnancy.com.
• Cancelling later than 24 hours but at least 3 hours before costs £50; the rest of your payment is refunded.
• Not attending, cancelling with under 3 hours’ notice, or arriving more than 20 minutes late counts as a no-show and is charged £140.
• This is a full payment at booking, not a deposit, and your card is not stored.
