HyCoSy Scan £550

A Hysterosalpingo-contrast-sonography (HyCoSy) scan is a non-invasive ultrasound procedure used to examine the uterus and fallopian tubes for potential fertility issues. Utilising contrast dye and high-frequency sound waves, HyCoSy provides detailed images to detect blockages or abnormalities. Often chosen over traditional methods due to its safety and accuracy, this scan is a vital tool for fertility diagnostics. With HyCoSy, you’ll have a clearer understanding of your reproductive health, helping guide appropriate treatment strategies for your fertility journey.

Smear Test from £180

A smear test, also known as cervical screening, is a vital preventive health procedure designed to detect early signs of cervical cancer in women. This quick and simple test involves collecting a small sample of cells from the cervix using a soft brush, which is then sent to a laboratory for analysis. The procedure is typically performed by a nurse or doctor and takes only a few minutes, though it may cause slight discomfort for some women.

Regular smear tests are recommended for women aged 25 to 64 in the UK, with the frequency varying based on age. This screening method has proven highly effective in reducing cervical cancer rates by identifying abnormal cell changes before they develop into cancer, allowing for timely intervention and treatment. Despite its importance in women’s health, many still miss their appointments due to fear or lack of awareness. However, the potential life-saving benefits of this simple test far outweigh any temporary discomfort, making it a crucial part of routine healthcare for women.
